My Mum has Parkinson's and was seen by the same consultant every year for a few years. Now she has not been seen for nearly 3 years as she has been unwell or hospitalized when appointment was due. Then she was sent an appointment for January 2019. We attended and my mum was so hopeful for some care and support as her condition has worsened . The doctor we saw was not her consultant fine but we told we were lucky as the neurology department does not have capacity'???? It was a box ticking perfunctory appointment. Then the letter that followed the appointment was in accurate, and the drug change suggested Mums GP had questions about. Now we are waiting as the GP has contacted the department and NO Response. Her July appointment has been canceled as well! I am so upset for mum the lack of care is so disappointing.
