After three visits to my GP for an infected cyst, my doctor phoned the hospital and asked for an emergency surgery. He got a reply within minutes which was both positive and helpful and I was asked to go to the hospital as soon as possible. I was there within the hour and was met by friendly and helpful staff. I was seen within a few minutes by the reception nurse and then again shortly after by the doctor and then later by the surgery registrar. They were all lovely, caring people who made sure that my pain was managed, I was kept well informed and really importantly for me, we were able to have bit of banter and professional light heartedness. I really liked the fact that everywhere had up beat music playing and the staff were happy and friendly.
The surgery team were great and once again we were able to enjoy some banter and humour whilst I was being prepped for surgery. The post surgery recovery nurse was terrific. At the end of my time, the male nurse who took me out of the hospital to wait for my lift was also great. It was a very positive experience with everyone I came into contact with. A huge thank you and well done to all.
