"The birth of my first baby"

About: Aberdeen Maternity Hospital / Obstetrics (Maternity care)

(as the patient),

I was very anxious about having my baby in February as this is our first child so we were really unsure about what to expect. The staff at Aberdeen maternity hospital were really friendly, helpful and supportive. They helped me through my labour and c section and were always there to give encouragement and support. Once Baby arrived we were moved to Ashgrove ward where the staff we’re outstanding really made my time in the hospital less stressful. The midwifes and staff that were on over the 3 days we were in hospital were so helpful and approachable they made the whole experience a lot more easier. Keep up the brilliant work! !

Dear Su51puz,

Firstly let me congratulate you on the birth of your baby and for getting in touch to let us know how positive your experience was. It is really reassuring for me as inpatient Midwifery Manager to hear that you found the staff caring, friendly, helpful and supportive and how your time in Ashgrove really helped you feel much less stressed.

I will pass on your comments to the staff involved.

May I wish you and your family all the best for the future.

Warmest Regards

Liz
