"Took a while but worth it"

About: Open Mind

I self-referred in February and received a telephone assessment a few days later. However my CBT sessions didn't start until September. I felt It would have been better if they could have started sooner. However it did give plenty of time for my medication to kick in! Appointments were convenient and always on time. I found my counsellor kind and gentle but after a few sessions provided challenge too. I was always clear about my 'homework' and I have continued with some of the strategies. It felt like I started to get things back on track .. but would always be nice to have some more maintenance sessions. However I was given support about how to keep things in check including every month I use a pared down version of the assessment tool to check out how I'm feeling.

Hello

Thank you for taking the time to write your feedback about your recent experience in the Leicester City Let's Talk Wellbeing Service.

I am pleased to hear you had a positive experience and you felt that you and your therapist gained a good working relationship, with postive gains for you now and for your future, with some tools to help you maintain your achievements.

I am sorry that the wait to receiving your treatment sessions was longer than you or we would have liked, and I hope that some of the improvements we are making in the service will address this.
