I was admitted after receiving a propess induction at term +12 on Tuesday 2 April, and although I expected to go home and come back the next day, I was treated very well by the Labour ward staff and assigned midwives. Though ideally I wanted a birth at the Singleton unit, taking into account the circumstances and being advised to remain at the labour ward, I felt in safe hands and confident. I just want to thank everyone who was involved in the birth of my little boy, the utmost efforts were made to honour my birth plan even though it didn't necessarily go as planned, putting up with my change of mind at the end and all the other things that came to change. Unfortunately I may not mention names on the review but special thanks to the 2 midwives assigned to me wrt the birth, the Dr who performed assistance delivery, the aftercare staff at Folkestone ward. We are home and recovering now and I can confidently say I have full trust in the William Harvey staff and that they will certainly do what they can to make one feel cared for. From cleaning staff, to nurses, midwives and doctors. Thank you.
