What I liked
Very helpful staff eg,nurses, admin ,Drs ,Consultants,Students all friendly, polite, very helpful, also very efficient.
I spent 90 mins with a Prof and his team on my first visit.
This was probably more time than my local City Hospital in 3 yrs with my condition.
Lots of suggestions to self help with the condition.
Nurses staff notice board-clinical/corporate governence objectives from 2008 putting patients at the heart of the service. Can sometimes sound a little trite-however the behaviours and kindness shown on the day clearly demonstrated they lived them everyday.
Truly professional dedicated team, most impressed by joined up NHS team.
I must emphaise I dont work in the NHS and dont live anywhere near London. But think the service was the best I have ever seen-Well done!
What could be improved
Guy on reception directed us to the "wrong 4th Floor wing"-he was given my letter so he could help direct us-we ended up on a 4th floor neuro ward not outpatients as planned!
However a nurse directed us towards the correct wing, then a maintenance guy took us in the lift and walked us to the correct building-what more can you ask for!
Not sure if we were hopless with the directions or the signage could be improved?
Anything else?
is the clinical/corporate governance objectives dated 2008 on the nurses staff notice board still in date-or is this an old version?
"Brilliant, efficient, kind, helpful staff across..."
