"Scratched eye ball."

About: Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital / Accident and emergency

I scratched my eye ball at work then woke up at 5:00am in agony at a mates house whereafter I took myself to Basingstoke A&E. Staff were all very nice and the jovial smiling nature by which they conducted themselves put me completely at ease even before the local anaesthetic was administered!

Didn't get the names but the doctor and the nurses and receptionist obviously worked into early Saturday morning (6am-ish).

Eye is more or less mended.

Thanks again,

Doug

Thank you for taking the time to comment following your recent visit to Basingstoke A+E. I will share your comments with the teams, who are always grateful to hear of examples where the patients have been put at ease. Thank you once again for commenting and I wish you a speedy recovery.
