"Can't even be bothered getting my family..."

About: Thornton Surgery

You never get to see the same doctor it's always a locum it's like you are in a cattle farm one in one out as long as they see a set amount of patients they get paid so it's fine. One particular receptionist gets snappy with you if you don't tell her what you are seeing the doctor for (don't know her name don't want to spend time with her I don't have to) I maybe a patient there but that's just to try an get my prescription I would rather get ill an end up in hospital than see a locum. WHY CAN'T YOU JUST HAVE A PERMANENT DOCTOR THAT GETS TO KJOW YOU AM SICK OF FEELING LIKE A FARM ANIMAL.

I am sorry that you view our practice in this way. As you are aware our salaried GP has been off sick since October and has recently passed away, so yes we have had to replace her with locums but the same ones for month’s NOT different ones each week.

My receptionist will triage each appointment that they book this is done to make sure patients are seeing the most appropriate clinician. We run on appointments only as this is down to safety for you as the patient nothing to do with money. A drop in clinic would be more like a cattle market in my view.
