"Very caring"

About: Kettering General Hospital / Gynaecology

I wen to A&E at 5 weeks pregnant with a stabbing pain in my right side. After several tests and quite a long wait, I was sent for a scan at the Rockingham Assessment Unit. Sadly they found that my pregnancy was ectopic and within half an hour I was in surgery having it and my right Fallopian tube removed. It was the most terrifying experience of my life but all the doctors and nurses were amazing and I felt so safe. I had to stay in for 2 nights and I was looked after so well on Maple Ward. The wonderful people who cared for me did such a great job and I feel very lucky.

I am really sorry to learn of your pregnancy loss and sincerely hope that you are recovering well. I would like to thank you for taking the time to provide such lovely feedback during what must be such a difficult time both physically and emotionally for you. The nurses and doctors strive to maintain high standards of care for all of our patients and I will be delighted to share your comments with the teams involved in your care.
