(as a friend),

I went to the IC24 Out of Hours clinic with my friend.

Feel like the staff member we saw had an attitude problem. Like they didn’t want to be there. We felt rushed and our concerns were not heard. Only answer we kept getting was “it’s only a cold”. When we asked if my friend should return to work, this staff member said “everyone works with a cold”. Asked about my friend's concern of nose bleeds and wheezy cough, they said “it’s only a cold” and can take around 3 weeks for a cold to go.

They did not have ID, nor did they introduce themselves. Not even a bye.

I asked at the receptionist on the way out to make a complaint, and was given the name of this person.

I would like a response to this please.

I'm sorry to hear that you did not have a positive experience of the out of hours service in Northampton.

If you could email us further details to complaints.ic24@nhs.net then we can review what happened and get back to you with more detail.

Please also include the date of the appointment. As of 1 April 2019 IC24 no longer provides the out of hours service, as it is now provided by a different organisation.

However, we will gladly look into this and see how we can get you some answers.
