"Disappointing Overall"

About: Beardwood Hospital

Firstly very difficult to get any reply on attempting to contact Beardwood by phone “we are experiencing unusually high call volumes” every time I rang at various days / times. Then I had no point of contact as a patient. Was told my consultant had no secretary at Beardwood, then told he had. Then ended up discussing my concerns/ isssues and arrange appointments with someone who wasn’t clinical (but was very nice and helpful as best she could) No results made available to my GP after 2 weeks although I was told this would be done by Beardwood, but invoices sent very promptly. No sense of overall concern regarding my patient experience or if I was ok. Thankfully I have a lovely GP but as I paid almost £700 self funded I would have expected my consultant to write to me or at least copy me in the letter he sent my GP! Overall can not recommend. Improvements need to be made. On a positive note staff in ultrasound were absolutely lovely.
