Avoid this so called Practice

This practice is useless to patients who require referrals, appointments or prescriptions. The male receptionist was giving me advise on a prescription I asked for when he had zero knowledge of my condition. It is extremely uncomfortable having to state reasons for requesting to see a GP to the receptionist who again needs to know the reason why you want an appointment regardless of how personal it may be. I had to constantly ask to be referred to a specialist however the doctor was more concerned with asking me to take pain relief as appose to getting to the bottom of my problem. It appears this practice is is more concerned with cost cutting than patient care. Reluctant to help regardless of past medical history related to reasons requiring specialist hospital referral.

Good Afternoon, I'm really sorry you feel this way.

With regards to our receptionists asking for a brief description, firstly this is optional and its a requirement but the reason why we ask this is so we can determine how urgently you need to be seen that day and by the appropriate clinician as we have different skill mixes i.e. GP's, Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Practice Pharmacist which evidently shows we don't cost cut and happily invest in the surgery so our patients have the best appropriate clinicians available to them on the day.

With regards to referrals our clinicians have pathways they need to follow but this could be discussed with a GP instead of leaving a negative comment.
