"Night staff rose to the occasion"

About: The Queen Elizabeth Hospital / General surgery

(as the patient),

After undergoing surgery on my spine, I was put under the care of the staff on Marham ward. From the moment I came round the staff were polite and very attentive and I was cared for extremely well. During the night I had complications and wasn’t very well at all, being sick throughout the night. The night staff rose to the occasion and ensured that I was as comfortable as possible, thank you Carla and Sarah. The NHS has had some bad press recently but the care I received was exceptional and the Hospital should be rightly proud of its staff on this ward, they were amazing.

Thank you to all who were involved in my care, it could not have been better.

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments about your experience on Marham Ward following spinal surgery. I am very pleased to hear that the staff were supportive of you throughout your time on the ward especially when you were poorly during the night. I will share your comments with the Ward Manager and Matron so that they can discuss them with colleagues, I know that they will appreciate your feedback. I hope that your recovery is progressing well.
