"Overall my experiences have always been good"

What I liked

I too have visited the Fracture clinic on many occasions, my experience is somewhat different to the other two comments. I chose to go there as the consultant I see was highly reccommended. I have always found the reception staff very friendly, approachable and will put themselves out to help.

What could be improved

I agree there is a confidentiality issue, but do we not have a screen at the doctors showing our name to everyone in the waiting room? Maybe the other people could suggest how to get patients in to clinic without using their name.

Waiting times are annoying but my letter told me to allow all morning/afternoon, sometimes the nurses taking names doesn't seem to come out often enough to keep us informed of how long the wait is and the board isn't used enough.

I am always treated with respect on each visit , although I do feel that a nurse sitting down having a chat and joke is maybe stepping just a little over the mark when we are sat waiting so long!

Overall my experience with the whole Orthopaedic department including when I was on the ward is a good one and I would reccommend to anyone.
