It was awful. The midwife told me I'd had a miscarriage as if she was just telling me I had a cold. She booked me in for a blood test for two weeks later and when I turned up there was no record of the appointment or of me ever having being there. I was sent all over the hospital by different people for over an hour until I was back in the same place. A few days later the same midwife rang me to confirm my miscarriage, again in a cold and uncaring way. She did not seem to care that her news was that which broke my heart.
