"Walk In Centre"

I just wanted to say thank you to the reception staff and the doctor who I saw at the Walk In Centre .

My own GP surgery was closed and the answer phone gave me a number to phone . I left a voicemail message but nobody phoned me back . I then rung 111 in desperation who said I needed to see a doctor within 2 hrs and sent me to the Walk In Centre . I was told it would be an hour’s wait and it was - the practice was very busy .The doctor was thorough and reassuring . I got medication that I needed and the next day was feeling much better .

Why my GP’s surgery failed to call me back I have yet to find out. It was my first time at the Walk In Centre and I was thankful that it was there . We need more centres like this especially in East Leeds - it would take an enormous strain from A&E .
