"Long time for nothing"

About: Wexham Park Hospital / Accident and emergency

5 hours I waited in A&E, had severe stomach cramps for 4 days, to which I believed it was time to visit, while there I had my blood taken for tests and that's it, no pain relief given, no examination, nothing to even keep me updated on how long I would have to wait, discharged myself as I could of done more myself at home

Reception staff were not bothered and seemed rude towards me when I explained how dissatisfied I was with the treatment I received within the 5 hours and no pain relief given at all, only then did they offer some paracetamol!!

I, ll drive further to another hospital if I have to visit again for any reason

Dear Aaron

I am sorry you had such a long wait with severe stomach cramps that is not the service we wish to run, there should have been information on waiting times in the reception and I apologise if that was not the case. If you would like me to investigate further please email me on fhft.patientexperience@nhs.net with further details and I will look at your case for you?

regards
