"Told I need to repeat an MRI scan -"

About: The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust

I attended ROH in February 2019 for an explanation of the MRI that was carried out previously.

I traveled for 3 hours to attend the appointment only to be told by the Consultants Team Member that the MRI was 'no good' and that it had been taken at the 'wrong angle'.

I asked the Doctor:

1/ Could they not have told me that on the phone?

2/ Do they not look at the MRI before they call me in to discuss it?

3/ How can an MRI be taken at the wrong angle when it is supposedly a 360 degree image?

I was told by the Doctor "thank you for your patience".

I reported this to PALS as I felt upset and this process seemed nonsensical.

PALS promised me that they would arrange another MRI asap,

PALS have emailed me. They have said they were trying to sort it out.

This is over 3 weeks ago.

I have a health problem with my ankle and am trying to be pro-active.

I feel that ROH/PALS are not bothered about me.

Why?
