"Cannot fault the care that was provided."

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Palliative Care

(as a relative),

I would just like to take the time to reflect on the ward that cared for my mum before her passing.

My mum was in this ward for a few weeks before her passing and I cannot fault the care that was provided.

I fully appreciate the stresses of caring for the elderly as I am a senior carer within a nursing home myself but I can say that the care I witnessed when sitting with mum was second to none. All staff was approachable and friendly and my mum was treated well for her final days. I would like to give a special mention to Debbie, Ellie, Nicole and Lisa who took the time to introduce themselves and are a asset to the nursing profession.

Dear Kelz36

Many thanks for sharing your experience when your Mum was cared for within one of our wards. I appreciate that this must be a such a difficult time for you and your family but so heartened to hear that the staff were approachable and cared for your Mum so well in her final days.

The staff that you named will be touched to read your comments regarding their professionalism and approach.

We always aim to deliver person centred care and it sounds like this team did just that when your Mum needed it the most.

With best wishes

Fiona Robertson

Chief Nurse
