What I liked
Treatment in A&E was very good.
What could be improved
Treatment in the fracture clinic was poor. Doctors gave little to no information about the nature and severity of my injury and did not give any advice on returning to work, how to approach recovery, etc. I saw three different doctors on the three times I attended, and for the two follow up appointments doctors had not read any notes so had no idea about my injury and didn't perform any kind of examination, further to asking me if it felt ok, to determine how the injury was recovering. Doctors spent very little time with me and gave little to no advice.
Doctors should have the courtesy to at least scan a patient's file at the beginning of the appointment so that they know what they're dealing with and understand that some information and explanation about a patient's injury can be very reassuring to the patient.
Anything else?
I was left with the feeling that doctors had no time to care for me or any interesting in providing me with useful information or advice. Felt that the sooner they could get rid of me the better!
"Disappointing"
