Admitted to combined area of DGRI, in the assessment part of this I felt unhappy that staff were talking clearly about other patients and their conditions, I felt that this was a complete mistrust of patients confidentiality.
The staff did not collect my urine sample despite being reminded several times that it was in the toilet to be tested - I felt that this was unsanitary.
I was moved to ward C5 where the care was excellent, I felt welcomed and appreciated and well cared for. The staff nurse, Bev was very friendly and informative which helped relieve my anxiety of being in hospital. Bev is a credit to her profession as are all the staff in C5.
The food was lovely (Although portions were rather large) and all the domestic staff serving beverages and cleaning the rooms were polite, pleasant and informative.
