What I liked

I was treated very well, everything that was going to happen was explained to me clearly and I was given time to ask questions. My sister accompanied me and she was made welcome and offered coffee whilst she waited for me. The specialist was thorough and very patient as was the houseman.

What could be improved

as I was having a diagnostic injection into my hip, in theatre, I was awake for the procedure! The scary part was hearing my specialist give instructions to the houseman, who was delivering the procedure!! I think it might be wise to advise patients to bring an MP3 player or somesuch to listen to instead of having to hear all that was happening ...............I did find this ongoing discussion VERY scary !

I was pleasantly surprised to see just how clean Chorley Hospital is!! after visiting lots of friends and relatives at Preston hospital which is FILTHY! I was very wary about submitting myself to this procedure and glad to be at Chorley when I saw how clean and bright it was.
