About: Berkeley Place Surgery

After a few weeks of increasingly difficult breathing, I requested an appointment with the surgery. It wasn't obvious to me what the problem was, but the doctor decided to do a blood test. This was at about 11am. In the afternoon I received a call from the surgery instructing me to report to A&E immediately, as the test had shown that I had (unknowingly) suffered a heart attack. By 7pm I was in the CCU ward and subsequently received treatment which included the fitting of a stent, after which I was immediately back to my previous state of fitness. I can't imagine how the crisis could have been dealt with more intuitively, and more speedily. Full marks!
