"Avoid"

About: Murdishaw

I was lumbered with this surgery after the closure of windmill hill.

At first, it seemed pretty good. You could always ring through and speak to someone helpful.

Not so anymore. It takes a good half hour for them to bother to pick up the phone. I called on Friday mid morning, spent over half an hour on hold despite being supposedly third in the queue.

When I finally managed to get through to the 'care navigator' (what a joke) it was the usual story.no appointments. No out of hours appointments. Go to the urgent care centre at the hospital, which is what I had to do in the end.

To the person leaving the management responses along the lines of 'thank you for your comments but I'm more than happy with the way things are being run'. You try being a patient at this surgery, and watch your time change.

Oh and they don't let you order repeat prescriptions over the phone anymore. Though you can still fax. How convenient!

I am sorry that you are unhappy with the appointments at the surgery, it is getting more difficult to provide appointments due to the high demand being put on the surgery.

We make every effort to accommodate patients needs, but we are always very busy.

The practice have stopped taking orders of repeat prescriptions over the telephone to minimise the risk of a potential errors that could cause a significant event.

However, you are able to order prescriptions on-line or via your local pharmacy.
