I’m writing this on behalf of a relative who has no access to the internet. She made an appointment after suffering with abdominal pain discomfort for a few months, had tried over the counter remedies but nothing had worked.
The NP who saw her, did not examine her abdomen or do any base line observations, and quickly can to the diagnosis that she was fat and needed to only eat what could fit in the palm of her had such as fruit and nuts. I would like to know how she excluded all manor of differential diagnosis without placing her hands apon her!
Unacceptable I think. She left the surgery anxious and worried with added insult that she was fat without being weighed or measured to check her BMI.
