"Out Of Date Practice"

About: Slaidburn Health Centre

Concern - Website out of date. No regular GP's. Infact all Locum GPS, yes they are regular but nit employed by the Practice.

Certain times no GP cover, (is the CCG aware of this?) Certain staff - unprofessional.

Chatting Non- work related with other villagers, Telephone ringing, this is ignored whilst continue to chatt about family.

Noted that people come into the Practice and drop personal items off.

This Practice needs to be looked into - Due to nonprofessional standards, lack of consistency.

Very Concerned patient, who is looking to register elsewhere.

We are sorry that you feel that your recent experience on attendance at the Practice was less than satisfactory and that you may register elsewhere.

Our apologies for the website which we will look to update in the very near future.

The Practice does have regular sessional GPs and these doctors were praised at the recent public meeting in support of the Practice. Can I reassure you that we take our responsibilities to patient care and safety very seriously and the Practice is covered in line with the requirements of the Practice’s contract.

This does not require the Practice to make a GP available in person to provide routine services to patients throughout the core hours but to have in place arrangements for its patients to access such services throughout the core hours in case of emergency - the Practice GP is available on-call for the hours required under the contract when not in surgery.

We pride ourselves that the Practice and Practice team are professional but are also at the heart of the local community and look to engage with patients in a friendly and approachable manner.

Again the team were praised at the recent public meeting but we will look at the points you raise and will discuss them with the team.
