"Kind considerate staff"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Clinical haematology

(as a service user),

After being operated on last February and having my Aortic valve replaced I was advised that I had Hodgkins lymphoma. I found it hard to take in but was advised that not only was it treatable it was also curable.

I was referred to Dr. Murphy at Hairmyres hospital and underwent 6 months of chemo.

The staff in ward 18 were so kind and considerate. Alana, Lisa and the rest of the staff are in a league of their own and I cannot praise them highly enough.

Thanks guys.

Hi jeffreytilt,

Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback. I was sorry to read that you had received a diagnosis of Hodgkins Lymphoma and so soon after you had your aortic valve replaced.

I am pleased to learn that staff were kind and considerate and in a "league of their own". I will ensure that your feedback is shared with Alana, Lisa, Dr Murphy and the team at the day unit at Hairmyres Hospital.

I hope you are recovering after your treatment and wish you well. Thank you again for taking the time to share your experiences with us, it is very much appreciated.

thank you

Mhairi
