"Told to live with pain despite having brain jolts"

About: Peterborough City Hospital

I am very disappointed with the service I received from the consultant. He was adamant I had to live with the pain (Brian Jolts) which I have had for the last few months. In addition to that tingling in my arms and legs.

I asked if I could be referred privately for an MRI scan his reply was “that’s not possible no one will refer you based on migraines” And went on to say that the cost for an MRI is £5000 of which is my true as I have queried this issue with private companies.

After a few phone calls and research the only thing I would need is a letter from my GP and to expect to pay between £130 and £700 which is far from £5000 quoted by the doctor.

I’m British and pay my taxes I should not be treated this way, in fact no one should! It’s not ethical.

His advice was to take paracetamol every four hours. I asked for how long? He said indefinitely, surely that can’t be right! What if there is something seriously wrong?
