In July 2012 I had an emergency c section.
My son was perfect but I was quite poorly, I don't remember much of the first few days of my 8 day stay but I do remember how well I was cared for, I was in the high dependency ward for 5 days and I had round the clock care. I remember faces but not names of my care givers, they were kind and caring, emotionaly supportive when I was upset because I was not well enough to care for my son, they kept my baby by my side throughout my stay, I had a nursery nurse tending to all my babies needs when my husband needed a break and through the nights. They provided me with with outstanding dignity and were very supportive to my husband.
I had the same amazing care with my second son born April 2015 and I have an amazing birth photo that I'd love to share with the hospital, I never managed to second any just seconds old photos with my first child due to the panic of my wellbeing but what we captured and the faces on the surgeon's is such a delight.
"Outstanding care provided at a traumatic time."
