"I was sorry to leave them after a highly successful procedure."

About: Royal Stoke University Hospital / General surgery

(as the patient),

I was taken in to have my left leg amputated above the knee. Not only was I lucky enough to be taken into the best hospital in Staffordshire but also the best ward that I have ever been in (and I've been in quite a few over recent years). The nursing staff from the very top to support staff were amazing, helpful, caring, prepared to listen I was sorry to leave them after a highly successful procedure. My surgical team led by Mr. Calderwood were in my opinion exceptional.

I am due in again and amazingly I'm really looking forward to it, to see my old friends and to know that I'm going to be looked after really well.
