"Felt I was an inconvenience"

I was in Wishaw General for four days prior to having a section to have my daughter. I was induced and had the unlucky experience to encounter some  midwifes who I felt ignored me and made me feel like I was an inconvience. I work in social care and I feel this was used against me when I was in real pain after the fourth day and my waters breaking. I found the midwife to be very inappropriate. She was not interested in the fact that I was in pain but instead used my profession against me. I was in pain and told to hurry up and get in the shower and when asked to wait I was very abruptly told she had to do her job, no I don’t think she was doing her job. My waters went and I felt I was basically an inconvenience to the midwife that she had to change my bed. She basically told me she had other things to do for other people. There was six midwifes on for two people in my room. I was then pressing the buzzer for pain relief and was told by an ancillary that they were discussing my case I was basically ignored. I also had an injection and midwife was not interested in the fact that I was in pain but instead wanted me to just hurry up. I felt it was all about sitting down to have their tea not offer a service. 

This was just the icing on the cake and there was more. I chose to go to wishaw as I had an ectopic pregnancy the year before and three consultants saved my life but my god if I had had this experience before I would never have returned to wishaw. It was dreadful.
