Seen and referred by GP to GRI for incision and drainage of perineal abscess.
I was seen and assessed straight away by nurse practitioner, ANP, FY1, surgical registrar. I was given explanation that the surgery time is a bit out of their control in emergency theatre and life threatening/severe cases will be prioritized. That was well explained and I fully understood it. Therefore I did not mind the long waiting time for the surgery. Anaesthetists were good at putting me at ease. The staff which took care of me at recovery ward was a star.
I was transferred to ward 66 after the surgery. I have been well taken care of by all the staff (shout out to the nurses- can't remember all of their names, Fiona, Jade and others-sorry for not remembering the names). All caring, nice, and brilliant. Fiona and Claire have kindly lend me their charger to charge my phone. I had raised temperature on the next day which required me to stay in hospital for another night. Surgical doctors came around and explained everything well.
This was my very first experience being a patient in the ward. It was overall a very good and nice experience. Hospital food tasted better than I thought. Would like to express my gratitude to all the staff involved in my care. Appreciated it!
"Gratitude to all staff"
