"Suspected Broken Ankle"

About: West Cornwall Hospital (Penzance)

I took my wife In on a Saturday morning with a suspected broken Ankle. The staff were fantastic and from entering to leaving the hospital, incl. X-Ray, we were only there 90 mins.

X-Ray reception even made sure we could park close to reception so we had easy wheel chair access (many thanks).

The staff made what was a very distressing time for my wife an easy and friendly consultation and visit. Many thanks to all concerned. God bless the NHS

Dear Allan,

I would like to say thank you for posting your comments about your wife's recent experience of our Urgent Care Centre (UCC).

As the Hospital Manager at West Cornwall Hospital (WCH) it is very important to hear the experiences of our service users, regardless of whether these were positive or not as this is the way in which we learn as an organisation.

It is especially rewarding when these experiences have been so positive, as was the case with your wife's recent visit.

I am really pleased that the staff in our UCC were able to treat your wife and provide her with such excellent care and reassurance and that the time you spent in the department was short and easy, despite her requiring an x-ray.

I will certainly make sure your comments are shared with the team in UCC. I do also hope that your wife continues to make a good recovery and do wish her well.
