"Excellent care, compassionate staff and..."

About: William Harvey Hospital (Ashford)

What I liked

I had day surgery on my foot, and was really very anxious , especially about having the general anaesthetic.

The event went very smoothly with the department being extremely well organised and efficient, however this wasn't at the expense of providing compassion or respect. The staff were caring, informative and friendly despite being incredibly busy. I can find nothing but praise for the treatment that I received from start to finish.

What could be improved

Nothing really. Under the NHS budgetary restraints patients have to understand that they will be processed in a system which is a bit cattle market like, and the rooms may not be 5 star! Go private and pathough sums if you want to be pampered.

Anything else?

I hope this message will be passed onto the department to let them know that their proffessionl care is really really appreciated by those on the receiving end, but often at the time cannot be fully expressed due to nerves or grogginess! Many thanks to them all.
