"Great support for birth of my second child"

About: Southern General Hospital / Maternity care

(as the patient),

I gave birth to my second child at the Southern General hospital.

I was induced after my waters broke at home, but no natural contractions. I had a fantastic support, a great Midwife and really caring student Midwife on the unit.

Thank you for taking the time and trouble to offer comments on your recent experience at the Maternity Unit, Southern General Hospital. I was so pleased to read that the support you received from staff in the unit made this such a postive experience. Childbirth should be a very special time for all mothers and it certainly sounded as though the assistance provided to you made it special for you, and your baby son.

It means a great deal to staff to read these comments, and I am very grateful that you did so.

Once again please accept my thanks for sending us these comments. Staff involved in caring for you will be delighted that you appreciated the care provided to you. I hope that you and your baby are thriving, and wish you both well in the future.
