"A hip replacement"

About: Borders General Hospital / Trauma & orthopaedics (Ward 9)

(as the patient),

Arrived in ward 9 at 7.00am. surgery at 10.00am back in bed by 12.00pm.

Care staff were fantastic, polite, attentive and informative.  No problems with pain. Up out of bed the next day with the help of the physio team, practice on the stairs.  Home early afternoon the next day. Operation a huge success, I can now walk ten miles over the hills.

Thanks to Mr Wong and his team and of course, all the staff at ward 9

Hi Billie

Thank you for your kind comments I will share this with all the team in ward 9. It really means a lot to them to receive feedback. I am so glad to hear you had such a good experience and made such a great recovery, being able to walk over the hills again. I hope you continue to enjoy your new hip replacement and hill walking.

Kind regards

Grace Brydon
