"Not enough food at Royal Oldham hospital "

About: Royal Oldham Hospital / Accident and emergency Royal Oldham Hospital / General medicine

(as a relative),

Dad was taken to A&E and sent to the medical admissions ward (MAU). I followed the ambulance to Oldham hospital when I got there I couldn't find a car parking space anywhere. I did not need the stress of trying to find a space when my dad is in A&E.

A&E was good although the nurse could've been more friendly.

When my dad was admitted to the MAU ward all he was given for his tea was a rubbish sandwich and a wagon wheel. At breakfast he was only given a piece of toast. You do not go to hospital to starve.

So my advice is to take a packed lunch to Oldham so that you know you're getting fed. Also TV charges are expensive, so is parking.
