"Midwife made the birth traumatic "

Went into hospital was in labour got sent back home waters broke rang them again told me to call at 8.00oclock in the morning (6hours later), told them I couldn't hold on as pains where terrible needed some pain relief.

I got took into hospital waited 2hours to get into a main delivery ward. I was given gas and air then asked for epidural they then went on to give me it without checking how far gone I was. They started to just put needle in but I needed to push, the midwife was telling me I did not when I knew I did. The baby's heart stopped and my heart slowed because of distress when they did not check how far I was.

Also midwife made a comment that I was a couch potato because she thought because I was 18 I was on benefits, she actually got that wrong I'm in a full time job! also when I asked did epidural hurt she said yes it really hurts! who wants to know that when I was really far gone and had full back labour which was really painful!

I felt that midwife was very unfair and very judgemental towards me as a young mother. I believe that as a result of this I ended up with a whole lot of stitches because she rushed the birth and done it too quick.

Also she would not let the paediatrician look at me which then resulted as her getting frustrated. then on birth ward needed some help rang buzzer they then finally came to me after 2HOURS! , so yeah I would never even go to the royal gwent again. Worst experience. This was supposed to be a nice one but because of the problems I had with the midwife it was a very traumatic birth.
