Wasnt a very pleasent experience but never is at airedale a and e

Plenty of staff walking around, with cups of warm drinks for themselves. I even witnessed 2 staff discussing their weekend antics...unprofessional in my opinion

We asked for a drink for my family member as he requested one...this took 30 mins as it was passed over to another member of staff..

4 hours unseen by anyone we were told minor ailments will be seen before my 94 yr old family member who was hallucinating and very low blood pressure.

I dont understand why minor ailments would fall priority over ill people.

We struggled to get him to agree to come to hospital and this length of wait had him very anxious

Now hes on the aau and refusing fluid or diet...not sure why he wasnt put on a drip for fluids, food wise the quality of food is extremely poor, how are people meant to eat healthy when nothing is made on site from fresh. The food is sent from wales prepacked. Why is there a kitchen at the hospital when clearly its not used to the advantage of patients. I also received a parking fine, the last thing on my mind was at that time if night was to pay to park i was more concerned about the wellbeing of my elderly frail family member

We are sorry to read that you and your relative have had such an unsatisfactory experience in our Emergency Department, and also that your relative has found the food on the Acute Assessment Unit to be poor. With regards to your parking charge notice, we would advise you to follow the appeals process if you believe the charge is unjustified.
