"I was treated as a person, not a condition"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Stroke Care

(as a service user),

Sent to A&E from a GP appointment.  Transferred to Acute Stroke Unit.  Every member of staff has been marvellous.  It is obvious the caring, compassion and professionalism is of the highest standard in this ward.  I was treated as a person, not a condition.  Each patient is known by the staff and shown respect.

The ward was clean and comfortable and every care was tkaen to keep me informed about my treatment.

The hard working staff here must be highly commended.

Dear pegasuscm66,

What a frightening time this must have been for you attending your GP and then being admitted in to hospital with a stroke. As well as the technical aspects of care it is equally important that staff are caring and compassionate. It is great to hear you found this and care to be of a high standard.

It is lovely to read your feedback and the domestics will be delighted to hear you found the ward clean and comfortable. The team are very hard working.

Thanks for taking the time to feedback on care opinion. I will ensure your comments are shared with the team. I am hope you are now on the road to recovery.

Best wishes,

Christine
