"No soap in toilet"

About: Sunderland Royal Hospital

Was in day surgery.staff were lovely dr and his team fantastic.however there was no soap in toilet.luckly I had brought hand gel in .i also think that nurses need to be aware of being more descreet when sharing patients information with each other as I heard where everyone was and what they were in for.also the fact that I had passed 300mls of urine was told across the ward.

Must admit I found it amusing when staff went for breaks and the ones left run them down and then were nice when they returned.

As I said staff were nice to me but some patients would have found it embarrassing.

Thank you for your feedback. Apologies that there was no soap in the toilet. Our toilets are checked daily so hopefully this will have been rectified quickly.

Respecting the privacy and dignity of our patients is always a priority and we welcome the opportunity to look into this where these standards have not been met. Please can you contact our help and advice service with details so we can feed this back to the team. I've copied the details below.
