I brought my 85 year old mum to the heart clinic on Friday 11th for consultation about the Tavi procedure. From the minute we arrived we were both treated with respect, kindness and dignity. Her blood pressure was extremely high and gave cause for concern, so we were given priority. Everyone we spoke to, and I mean everyone, could not have been more helpful. From the nurse we saw first, to the receptionist at the ecg desk, to the nurse/doctor(sorry I’m not sure of her title)who did her echo, to the nurse/doctor that did her ecg, to the 2 senior nurses who explained the procedure and took her details, to the consultant and then finally the nurse who took her bloods who had us laughing as we left the hospital. At no time were we made to feel a nuisance or that we were just one of many. There was no pressure to make a decision and both my mum and I felt really cared for and listened to. My mum had been very anxious about the whole thing but left feeling reassured, having had a totally positive experience. Everywhere was spotless too with no ‘hospital’ smell. So please pass on our thanks to everyone in clinic 1 (I think) including the cleaners. Cannot praise you enough.
"Totally positive experience"
