I was asked to be self referred to Health in Mind by my GP after having issues with stress and anxiety, which had caused me issues with work.
I was contacted quickly for an assessment, and the Stress Control workshop/clinic was one of the things recommended to me.
When I was told it was a "lecture" based group rather than a support group I thought that was best for me, as I was looking to aid myself rather than find someone/thing to fix me.
The sessions didn't seem overly clinical, and most of what was being said was relatable.
I was happy with both the format, and how the subject was handled.
