"Early pregnancy assessment unit"

About: Macclesfield District General Hospital

Due to missed miscarriage I went to EPAU unit at Macclesfield hospital on to book in for a D&C . The nurse had no idea of my previous notes and what I was there for.

She took my bloods and stuck the labels on before writing on the labels which took a long time. She gave me no information on what I would need need to take with me the following day so I didn’t feel prepared . She never informed me that I shouldn’t have false nails or makeup after I specifically asked her, so when I got to anesthetist she wasn’t to impressed but reassured me it wasn’t my fault . Macclesfield bed warden sent me to ward 1A at 8.30 am( who couldn’t find my notes for 2 hours ) only to find out that ward 5 were looking for me everywhere. At a time of loss for me and my partner we were extremely upset with how we were treated and it has really put us off having our next baby at Macclesfield hospital. It has been traumatic the way it has all been dealt with .
