I had been suffering from pain and stiffness for many years, untreated. I got to the point where it was affecting my daily life, ability to work comfortably, my hobbies, my sleep and generally my whole wellbeing. I ignored it, took pain-killers, but not much more. I filled in a self-referral for PHYSIOTHERAPY and got asked to attend a initial assessment at St Mary's hospital. I then had two more sessions of physiotherapy with 4-6 weeks in between, so I could get on with the exercises that were suggested. It has made such a difference in my day to day life and work. I don't feel really stiff and lots of pain any more on a daily basis, I'm more mobile again, my sleep is better and my mood. I am so grateful to my physiotherapist - he was brilliant. He explained the possible origins of the symptoms and we worked on those together. I was also offered support with getting back into exercising which is great. I can't thank him enough. You are a star! I would recommend the department to anyone suffering from stiffness, restricted movement, pain, burning sensations, numbness or pins and needles. I would say though, you have to be committed to doing the exercises. Thank you for your help and I couldn't recommend the department enough.
"My Physiotherapy has been life-changing. Thank..."
