I was lucky enough to have my second baby at the birth centre and was beautifully cared for by a team of fantastic midwives.
A warm bath awaited me on arrival, and one of the nurses was wonderful in ensuring that i delivered quickly and safely with my husband assisting me throughout.
She ensured that I was settled as quickly as possible after delivery.
Our room was clean, comfortable and private with space enough for my family to visit the next day.
Visiting times were relaxed and everyone was welcome to drop in (even with toddlers in tow) during our stay.
Because the centre was quiet the midwives were able and wiling to go above and beyond their duties: even rocking baby to sleep whilst we got a couple of hours much needed rest.
I’d had trouble with breastfeeding with my first child but the support and encouragement I got from the team was overwhelming: one nurse in particular in particular and another were incredibly helpful with helping me overcome my anxieties and issues and am successfully feeding now.
The ladies who cared for me were incredibly professional, diligent, attentive, kind, caring and expert.
Labour is never easy and having a newborn is hard work but our experience at the birth centre meant that we had as seamless as possible and were off the very best possible start - we are hugely grateful to them all!
"Birth Centre - WONDERFUL midwives, great room,..."
