Appointment with a dermatology specialist was scheduled for 10:30AM. After a 1 hour 15 minute wait, I was finally seen, but not by said dermatology specialist - instead by a nurse who was "filling in" to help get through the backlog of outpatients. Little to no medical history was taken, and all in all I was back out in the waiting room within five minutes. Despite telling the nurse that I'd tried the treatment suggested years ago, and it had not made an ounce of difference, I was essentially told that it was that or nothing. When I asked whether a surgical procedure - which would be a permanent fix - was possible, I was told that said procedure was not an option for my issue, despite a quick Google search saying otherwise (along with a number of people I have known with the same issue that have undergone the procedure themselves).
Extremely disappointing service, where I felt that the need to get through the backlog of waiting patients outweighed any desire by the nurse in question to provide proper care.
"Long wait to then be rushed out the door"
