"My doctor is excellent"

About: Station House Surgery

Before a particular GP became my doctor I was considering trying to change surgeries as there was no continuity of treatment or consultation and no one seemed to look at any historic information on my condition.

The textmessages received confirming appointment date and times would be helpful if they could specify "telephone" appointment or appointment at the "surgery".

Thank for taking the time to make comment about your experience of the Practice. We are very pleased that you feel you now have a very positive relationship with your GP. The Practice is working really hard to try to improve continuity for our patients and we really hope that you feel you are benefitting from these. With regard to the Text reminders for appointments, we are aware of this but to our knowledge it has affected only a handful of patients. The reminder system software cannot distinguish between Telephone call slots and face to face consultations with the GP. I am afraid there is no current fix for this which means that we do have to rely on our patients remembering which type of appointment they have. We are very happy to hear from any patients who are experiencing any difficulties with the systems and encourage them to contact the Practice. Jude Rowley, Patient Service Manager
