"Excellent Student Nurse"

About: Falkirk Community Hospital

(as the patient),

I attended the hospital yesterday for my Pre-Op assessment.

I was met by nurse Jijong (I think that's how you spell his name)

He was extremely professional very cheery and put you at ease.

He proceeded to take my height weight BP etc but where he particularly excelled was in his phlebotomy skills. He had the canula in and bloods taken before I was aware. I did not feel the canula go in and turned with surprise to see had had already filled some blood tubes.

He was very caring throughout the process.

I have no mark or bruising or any discomfort from the site from where the blood was taken.

Full praise from me as I am a Practice Manager in General Practice.

Please pass on my comments to him

Dear Whitburn

Thank you for taking the time to get in touch to leave feedback about your recent experience, it really is lovely for our staff and students to hear from their patients.

I have shared your feedback directly with the student nurse you mention in your story and he was absolutely delighted to hear from you, he was so grateful to hear such lovely, kind and thoughtful feedback.

Best wishes

Pauline
