"The best level of care and support"

About: Aberdeen Maternity Hospital / Obstetrics (Maternity care)

(as the patient),

We were induced at Westburn ward and the following morning warmly greeted by Camille who was to be our midwife for the Labour ward. She instantly put me and my husband at ease with her bubbly character, being very attentive and was great at communicating on what she was doing. Later in the labour she advised an epidural was necessary and made a fantastic effort in finding an anesthetist. We were handed over to midwife Kay D who continued the very friendly and professional care, answering any concerns / questions we had.

An emergency c section was required and theatre team continued to keep a relaxed caring atmosphere.

We couldn’t have asked for better midwifes. My family and I would like to thank all the staff from labour ward and theatre on the best level of care and support me and my family received.

Dear November2019Mama

Thank you so much for sharing your experience of your labour and birth with us. It's wonderful to hear that you received great care from so many of the team throughout your stay with us. I will certainly share this with the staff involved in your care.

An emergency caesarean can be scary for parents so it's wonderful that the team managed to keep things relaxed for you.

I hope you are enjoying your new addition to the family, and may I wish you all the very best for the future.

Regards

Jane
